I am planning a trip to Las Vegas this May. When is the best time for purchasing air fare to Vegas in advance?

I wouldn't book more than 3 months in advance. Also, check when there will be major conventions and avoid those days because airfare and hotels will cost more.

Book a refundable hotel and plane ticket, so if the prices go down you can take advantage of it.

You can get that insurance where if the prices come down, you get a refund or if you have to back out last minute, you get all your money back. I wouldn't do more than 3 months like mentioned.

A friend of mine goes there 4 to 6 times a year for business and she always books 6 weeks out. I think no more than 8 weeks and no less than 4 is a good measurement.
