How do you keep the bugs away?

I tend to get a lot of bugs here in the summer, during the day too. We live by a farm so the flies during the day are always getting in the house. Then there are the moths and mosquito at night. What do you guys do to keep them under control in and around your house?
 
Use nature to help outdoors. Plant some lavender around your house, close to the doors. If you don't have good soil, just use potted lavender. A lot of the insects you don't want around like ticks, spiders, flies, etc. hate lavender but other bugs like butterflies enjoy it.
 
You'd be amazed how well old fashioned fly paper works. I've found it to be better than traps, baits, poisons and those electric zappers. And it's cheap, you can catch 25 to 50 flies with a single strip!
