How did you grow up? Poor, rich?

How did you grow up? Was your family poor, rich or something in between? What has it taught you?

I grew up in a middle class family. But not on the upper end more on the lower end of middle class. We had house, two cars and I never wanted for the basics in life, but I didn't wear fancy clothes, we took rare and humble vacations and went out to eat rarely. Most of my friends were slightly better off.

It gave me a good foundation in life. Work hard, save up for what you want and don't take anything for granted.

I grew up typical middle class, but my parent overspent and were in debt most of their lives. I learned some bad habits that got me in trouble financially that I had to unlearn the hard way.

Upper middle class, I guess. But my parents where not good with money so they didn't pass on good habits to me.
