I've heard a few people here talk about "modified" Dave Ramsey money plans. What parts do they modify and how? Are there any valid criticisms of Dave's plan, parts that can be done better?

Little too much injection of religion in his show now and then, but the program itself I can't find much fault in.
 
Eh, the religion stuff doesn't bother me, it applies to most religions and to the non-religious as well. Its basic karma, repeating what you show and being a good steward of your money.
 
One of the things I've heard him talk about is which funds to invest in, I've heard that his way works but it's selling yourself short on how much return you can make. True?
