Airlines
American Airlines will let active duty military personnel and their families check the first 3 bags for free, and may also offer discounted airfare depending on availability.
Delta Airlines allows military personnel traveling on official orders to check the first 4 bags on Delta Connections flights for free, and 2 free checked bags for personal travel. Family members are also eligible for a discount. Dependents that are traveling to visit a wounded military relative can also get a discount as part of the Delta Cares program.
Southwest Airlines offer discounted fares for military members and their dependents. Active duty personnel traveling to a new duty station can also take 3 or more checked bags for free, and they’ll waive the oversize/overweight fees. You must call 1-800-I-FLY-SWA to book these discounts.
United Airlines has special discounts on flights for military and government personnel when they sign up for a Veterans Advantage membership.
US Airways, who operates American Airlines, is offering discounted rates to military members and their dependents traveling to an excused absence, and to members who have been discharged within the previous 7 days. For details, call 1-800-428-4322.

Alamo has leisure travel discounts, frequent traveler benefits and more for military personnel on leisure travel. They also offer no-charge collision damage waivers, frequent traveler benefits and a waiver of additional driver fees for government personnel on official business.
Avis has free collision/LDW insurance coverage, free unlimited mileage, and special pricing for government officials traveling for business. They also offer discounted pricing for military members on leisure travel.
Budget offers 25% off to members of the Veterans Advantage program. The program also provides $50,000 worth of medical travel insurance at no extra charge.
Hertz offers discounted rates, space-available upgrades, and a complimentary Gold Plus Rewards membership to military personnel travelling for leisure. 1-703-683-9233
